Lead Pastor, Covenant of Life Ministries

Dr. Faisal Malick is a seasoned pastor, a prolific author, an accomplished entrepreneur, and a well-respected keynote speaker with a multifaceted calling to leaders. He has a strategic mandate to reach the Muslim world and is a unique voice in our times.
Born and raised as a devout Sunni Muslim in Pakistan, Faisal moved to the USA as a teenager and later to Canada. Like all Muslims, he thought of Jesus Christ as no more than a prophet, only second to Muhammad. He considered the Bible to have been altered and inaccurate, and to acknowledge that Jesus was the Son of God, an unforgivable blasphemy. He took pleasure in challenging Christians in heated debates and was determined to win them to Islam.
This budding Canadian businessman, while still trying to convert Christians to Islam, was interrupted by a divine encounter with God on July 3, 1994. In this unexpected encounter, he was confronted with the reality of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. This upset the applecart and caused some conflict with his Muslim family. By the winter of ’94, he found himself living in a car and isolated from his family due to his faith. To add insult to injury, his Muslim, Hindu, and Sikh friends made fun of him for turning his back on Islam. This didn’t faze Faisal and his passion for Christ was fueled further by an encounter with the Holy Spirit on February 24, 1995 while living in a “basement of a basement” as he liked to call it.
As a result of his consequent conversion, without any formal theological training, he began to teach and instruct people on an informal basis, meeting in homes, restaurants, and coffee shops. In the next three years that followed, over 1,500 people from various walks of life and faith including Muslims, Hindus, Jews, and atheists came to know Jesus through his unique lifestyle of evangelism and discipleship.
Faisal began sending new believers to churches without showing preference for one denomination over another. He also started receiving invitations from business executives, pastors, and school principals to speak at various churches, events, and conferences. Soon, he found himself transitioning from business to full-time speaking and teaching ministry that led to the formal incorporation of Covenant of Life Ministries on Jan 1, 2004. In addition, he managed to juggle writing books, making guest appearances on television programs, producing TV shows, and overseeing a television network. He then went on to establish and lead a thriving church (Covenant of Life Ministries), launch a leadership network (Plumbline Network), found an educational institute (Plumbline Institute), and build a film and broadcast studio (Malick Media Group).
His humble beginnings, the challenges he had to overcome, and his insatiable eagerness to learn from other leaders — synergized with the incredible grace of God — all served to strengthen his faith in Christ. His early years as a follower of Jesus were formative and organic, not only in positioning him to become the respected spiritual leader and entrepreneur that he is today, but also equipped him to become a mentor to leaders in vocational ministry, business, and government.
Faisal has six published books to date, three of which have been translated into Indonesian, Korean and German. All English titles are available on amazon.com
